We must increase the number of manufacturing jobs in Senate District 10 which will provide higher incomes to our residents and further expand the retail and service sector. It is not the government’s responsibility to create these jobs. It is the government’s responsibility to limit policies and regulations so that entrepreneurship and innovation may flourish.
We need continuing leadership to bring manufacturing back to our area of the upstate. Manufacturing jobs typically pay higher wages than those jobs in retail. Our area can hold its own with our workers, technical training, and skills. We just need the manufacturers to consider locating in this area. Our leadership must be diligent in its efforts to promote and encourage our manufacturers so that they can offer superior jobs to our people. As your Senator I will be tireless in my efforts to support all groups and individuals promoting our area.
