If you're like me, you're tired of politics and politicians as usual -- a lot of talk but little action. After prayerful reflection and much consideration with countless friends, family, and supporters, I believe I have been called to enter this race. I'm not seeking an office, but seeking to serve. I believe it is time for someone with a common sense business approach to fight for our district and South Carolina.
My platform is simple. I will not be afraid to roll up my sleeves and work hard to represent all the families in Greenwood and Abbeville counties. By improving our counties, we can improve the lives of our citizens. The three issues on which I will focus are:
District 10 covers most of Abbeville and Greenwood counties. I have lived in Greenwood all my life. I am employed at Stockman Oil where I serve as president. The everyday challenges of operating a business with 25 employees give me a unique perspective that many other candidates cannot know. I have seen first hand how issues of immigration, health care, worker's compensation and taxation have affected our area and businesses. Our next senator must understand these issues and work to create a positive business environment that will provide jobs for our citizens.
I invite you to join me. Together, we can make our district a cornerstone in the effort to build a better South Carolina.
